KALMIA

Mountain laurel or kalmia are beautiful, hardy, native evergreen
shrubs that extend the blooming time into late June. They bloom
heaviest in sandier sunnier conditions at the edge of woods.
Planting with decayed pine-bark or needles, peat and a sprinkling of
pelletized sulphur can be helpful as they like acidic well-draining soil.
They should be protected from drying winter winds. -20F
