Nettlecreek Nursery, family owned and operated for over 18 years, specializes in natives and hardy oriental plants. We are located in the historic St. John’s Valley, midway between Lakes Ontario and Erie, in the Niagara Peninsula. The nursery borders a native Carolinian forest with liriodendron, flowering dogwoods, lindera and hickory trees. Many of the plants are grown using the Rootmaker TM growing system to provide superior roots and minimal transplant shock as explained in the video included in the trees section of the web site. We grow from seeds,cuttings and liners providing the customer with 4",14" and 24" rootmaker bag sized plants priced from $10.00 to $300.00. This fall some 24" bagged plants will be upsized to 32" diameter for finishing.

Most of these plants provide you multiple seasons of interest beyond their floral display. The brilliant fall colours of dogwood, disanthus, serviceberry, and franklinia enchant while the berries of ilex and viburnum enliven a winter garden as does the striking bark of stewartia, birch and various maples.

We are open for sales (from 9 am - 7 pm) Tuesday to Sunday, we ship out mail order on Monday or Tuesday.

We ship smaller sizes by Canada Post or UPS on 2-3 day Express Post. We also offer van delivery of larger plants to the GTA, London and Niagara Region.
